Hood Photoworks Fine Art features the work of award-winning photographer and artist, Darren Hood. He is known for his enthusiasm and desire to inspire and help others, as well as his extreme passion of several types of photography — perspectives, street photography, landscapes, portraiture, events, and floral. This site features some of Darren's favorite photography works, as well as custom fine art based on his photographic work.
Darren is a two-time winner of the Woodward Camera photography contest for March 2018 (Royal Oak, Michigan), a 5-time finalist for the City of Southfield Photo Contest (2017-2021), recognized as a top photographer on ViewBug for 2019; achieved ~400,000 photo views on 500px.com, and was recognized as a Nature Photographers Network New User of the month in November, 2019.
Darren is also an active member of the photography community. He serves as a Member of the TedX Detroit Photography Team, a Member of the Rock That Conference Photography Team, is the founder and leader of Southfield Shutterbugs photography group (Michigan), a member of the Professional Photographers Association, the Multicultural Association of Professional Photographers (MAPP), the Detroit Professionals Photographers Association, Michigan Photo Adventures, and the aforementioned Nature Photographers Network.
